EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS

Customizable Programs

We offer unique programs designed for your audience and learning goals. We customize our educational offerings to you, whether for an event or the classroom. From presentations to workshops, from labs to games, we are excited to share our passion for wildlife with you! Topics may include wildlife health, veterinary medicine, conservation, exotics care, local wildlife, and more.

School Pets

BVS offers veterinary services for school pets. We combine our in-school health visits with learning opportunities for students, so school animals get the care they need and students get to learn more about them!

Wildlife Training

BVS offers training programs for volunteers and/or staff at wildlife care facilities, which may include lessons on how to do a physical exam, hands-on skills, biosecurity practices, infectious diseases, wound care, and more. We teach staff at veterinary practices the knowledge and skills needed for initial wildlife triage and stabilization in order to transfer the animal to licensed wildlife rehabilitators.

We offer an Introduction to Wildlife Rehabilitation course that qualifies for the Rhode Island Level 1 Wildlife Rehabilitator License. Learn more about this course!
